Penal Code 25250. (a) Commencing July 1, 2017, every person shall report the loss or theft of a firearm he or she owns or possesses to a local law enforcement agency in the jurisdiction in which the theft or loss occurred within five days of the time he or she knew or reasonably should have known that the firearm had been stolen or lost.

if they are at the bottom of the lake or river then they are not lost because you know where they are. (LOL). You just have to hope the fish don't eat them. or maybe you were on vacation in Bayou country when you lost them and you can give them the location and the sheriff can go diving for them with the alligators. Something tells me the Louisiana sheriff is going to tell the california sheriff to go dive for himself if he wants confirmation.Comment
