Sometimes a gun is just a gun....

....but most often "just a gun" is a whole bunch better than the best bow and arrows or the most expensive pocket knife for surviving dangerous situations!

The noble purpose of this thread...to expound on BillSmith's signature "Sometimes a gun is just a gun."

I mean when a gun is "just a gun" it doesn't mean the gun in question is worthless.

What makes a gun, whether special or ordinary, valuable to you?

To me a gun's value is in the UTILITY and not the fancy artwork.

A gun is often something upon which a person's life depends.

    * With Bo and Luke Duke being the exception to that rule.

A gun is just a tool. Sure it looks pretty, but when you hear that bump in the night and you measure out the black powder, stuff in a lead ball and cock back that hammer, you'll be thankful you have it.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Well if we had dynamite it would be different.

I believe Daisy Duke and moonshine is a better exception.

That would be irresponsible. Always tuck it under your pillow so nobody can find it.

Truth is I probably wouldn't of watched the show without Daisy and those cut offs.

                          Agreed
My biggest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.
