    Like Gold...?

With the way this state is, does anyone believe firearms, ammunitions, parts, & etc will become more like Gold in the near future...

I guess the better question is what makes you think firearms, ammunition, and parts are anything like gold?

Firearms are like gold, for men.

It really depends on the firearm. A $500 Glock can be ditched for $450, easy. I dont think you can go into a pawn shop and sell a $500 ring for $450, more like $250.

I think your example is backwards. Gold will get you close to retail at a pawnshop whereas guns will be far less.

But that is the oddity of pawnshops.

To the OP, the difficulty is how guns and gun parts are made illegal. If they are legal to own and sell FTF but illegal to buy new, then prices go sky high - like many handguns. But if they are illegal to buy/sell at all, not so much.

In a SHTF scenario one can obtain goods better with a loaded gun than a bar of gold
