    LabRadar - reliability

Has anybody used the Labradar at the Angeles Shooting Range? Or a crowded range? I understand I can adjust the sensitivity of the trigger so it wont pick up other shooters shots. However I am concerned about the number of targets downrange on a crowded day causing return clutter on the radar. I am considering the Magnetospeed v3 and the labradar but am leaning toward the labradar. Any user input would be appreciated.

I've seen several guys using them at our range. They all seemed happy if that helps any.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

We had two shooters using them during a FCSA match earlier this month. Neither one had any issues with 50BMGs going off on neighboring benches. I will be retiring my Oehler 35P and picking one up the next time I see a deal on them.

You can adjust sensitivity so it doesn't trigger on someone else's shot, but it doesn't really matter. All it will do is say something to the nature of error, couldn't track shot. Then when you shoot, it will track and read your shot.

Now is the time to get one. They are on sale.

I have limited experience with mine, so far, and only with .22LR. Pretty nice chrony, though. It isn't clear, however, how it calculates muzzle velocity. You really should examine the track data. I found some spurious things in some tracks that wouldn't be obvious just from the screen data. Pretty interesting to see the sudden drop in velocity as it tracks the projectile up to, through and on the far side of the target.

I also use mine at Angeles with no problems.

It figures that the first responder to a post about Labradar has a picture of his Labrador as his forum picture.
