Was unable to sell hand gun because new Ca driver lic.

Wow! What a piece of crap state we live in.
I'm selling a few extra guns this month. I met today at Ammo Brothers to complete a standard ppt for a Glock 19. Which I've done 100+ times in the past 10 yrs. The guy helping us at the counter notifed me that because of a "Federal Limits Apply" stamp that the dmv added to my new Ca drivers lic. I am unable to sell a gun or purchase a gun now
I've gotta go back to the DMV and try and have them remove this notation from my license before I can sell a firearm in Ca.
When I got my new Ca. driver lic. a few months ago they wouldn't issue me the new and improved lic. Because my SS card was laminated, which was fine because I use a passport when I travel out of the country so I opted for the standard drivers lic.
Thank you DMV for your outstanding service. Im so proud to be a taxpayer of this state.

Please check the upper right hand corner of your license, if you've gotten a new drivers lic. If it's stamped FEDERAL LIMITS APPLY you're in the same boat as me.

Its WAY simpler than that.

If you got or get a license in California after January 2018, and you DID NOT make an appointment at the local office, bring in the required documentation, and get a Real ID act compliant license, your license is not real id compliant. You cant buy or aell firearms or get on a domestic airline flight, or enter certain federal facilities, using that license as ID.

I feel your pain same thing happened to me except I was ppt. Now I have to get a all my paper work and go stand in line at DMV all over again

It seems that the DMV issused me a AB60 drivers lic.
Which our governor created so undocumented illegals immigrants could be issused a driver lic.
This was the first time I've had to go into the DMV to renew my lic. In 10-15 yrs. it would have been nice if the person helping me could have explained the difference in the drivers licenses.
For the last 45 years since I was issused my 1st Ca driver lic.
A drivers license was a drivers license
Why does our state have to make everything so complicated?

On the bright side, if you want to deliver pizza, you do not need a drivers license at all.

Yea, I've gotta apply for new copies of my SS card from Connecticut, make a new appointment with our DMV and try to get the new drivers lic with all the bells and whistles on its before I can even sell a firearm.
You would think that the DMV would accept a current passport for identification, but no they want a copy of you birth certificate and SS card
Go figure ?

That happened to my uncle a few months back. He went to the DMV and raised Cane. Got it straightened out.

This simply bolsters my logic, the DMV is the third worst government agency in this country, right behind the USPS, and of course the IRS. Wish we could abolish all three #goals

I feel more pain, in the same boat, spent 4 hours at the DMV (thank god I made an appointment right?) my license never showed up. Called up the dmv expecting that for a fee they would mail me a replacement- no such luck, I have to wait to July to go in again and repeat the process!!

No, a federal passport was not on the list of approved documents the DMV would accept for renewing my license.

Couldn’t you use a passport, if you have one?

fresh from the DMV two days ago....

"Proof of Identity- Certified U.S. birth certificate, valid U.S. passport, employment authorization document, permanent resident card, OR foreign passport with an approved l-94 form.

"Proof of Social Security Number- SSN card, W-2 or paystub with full SSN.

"Proof of CA Residency- utility bill, etc, blah, blah, blah..."
