It has prongs, probably a bad idea. If your looking for a approved muzzle device you will not find one. The information you desire is defined in the California Code of Regulations, in which the definition of a flash hider is defined. I strongly recommend reading it for yourself as you alone will be responsible for your decision. The only absolute safe option is a thread protector.
