Another glock question, can I polish this flat?

I don't think this is related to my trigger issue, because of the orientation of the imperfection, but any issue if I carefully flatten out these bumps?

That looks like the safety plunger.

If so, yes you want that polished also. It will help smooth out the trigger pull.

While your at it, check out the firing pin. It's the little square in the back. You want to polish that as well.

Polishing the safety plunger will help. Not only the top but the sides will help it slide in smoother.

If you grind it down too far don't worry, it's only a Glock so no big loss.

Take a look at the profiles of some of the aftermarket ones. They have a radius cut for the ramp of the button. Polish yes, but be careful not to shorten it or you may have an issue with no bang since it is an interlock. You can also get weaker springs for it to help smooth out the slide action.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

I wouldn’t do too much. Just make it shiny but don’t change the shape at all.

I never polished anything on a glock and hardly clean them either. Just dryfire and practice with the trigger and reset. It's a glock.

Tell me where the pistol that always goes bang touched you.

Negative. The trigger was unacceptable. Now it’s much better. It was going to wear into a better trigger anyway.

FWIW, I used a pices of 2500 Emory paper, and drew the plunger toward me, holding the flat, careful to hold it perpendicular to the bench top, toward me about 4-5 times.

The imperfections are almost invisible, then I polished it smooth. I swapped the factory “ “ connector or an oem “-“ connector.

Result, a much smoother trigger feel.

Next time dry fire the gun before buying, if it's not to your liking don't buy.

I have several Glocks, and only one has a terrible trigger. If only I'd been more diligent and observant, I could have avoided a dud.
No biggie though, it's a beater range gun and makes me work harder so mixed blessing.
