people tend to laugh when its on a pistol. rifles are fine for getting a zero or other stuff requiring the suppressor to be on the gun. the rsos love putting me at a table next to a 7mm when im trying to zero a supressed .22 bolt gun.

Seriously! I had to wait 14 months for my first machine gun. At least it went up $5k in value by the time I picked it up. Though I can understand the frustration. I was getting form 3s approved overnight. Was able to get a full auto MG42 the day after I paid for it. Of course I then gave it to another FFL to fix some broken welds and rerivet the rails and I've been waiting 7 months now for it to come back. Should be ready to go in a few days as he finally started sending me pics of it but now it is too hot to go shoot it.

Don;t sweat it. That is one of the best combos so if oyu run 147 or heavier you will not hear much at all unless oyu run electronic ear pro. The range will help you compensate for the extra weight on the end. Just remember to not grab a hot can with your hand. I still forget sometimes. You probably won't need suppressor sights if you can get used to aiming through the can. I run low sights on my .22 pistols.

Any experience with the Odessa-9? DeadAir claims you don't need tall sights to run one.

Climate is a big point. I was born and raised in Chicago. No snow in my retirement years, please. I have been in the CA High Desert for 20+ years. It gets hot. Vegas gets hotter but I am not roofing houses at high noon.

Internet access is another point. I am going from FIOS 75/75 to cable 100/10.

OP, how long did it take to get your drivers license? I leave on the 22nd from CA to Henderson.

FYI, to get a Nevada ID or driver's license, you will need your birth certificate or passport. When I went in to get mine I didn't have that stuff and had to go home and get it and then go back. It took me all day to get my license.

The good part though, is that three days later I went to a gun show and bought a couple Russian SKS's using the temporary license. I had to do the background check for each of them as I didn't have my CCW yet and both were approved in less than five minutes. The following week I walked into a gun store and bought a unneutered, un-Califoricated AKM.... in and out with my new blaster in about a half hour.

I have not seen them yet. It is thin enough to stay below the sights. If it is full auto rated I would like it. That is the only thing keeping me from buying an Osprey.
