    3D Scanning a magazine...and then 3D printing a modified one ?

Anybody know a firearms friendly somebody that can 3D scan a magazine (as a solid body, no internal), in socal.
Then need to 3D print a solid block replacement.

If youre just looking for a solid plastic block identical to the outside of the magazine have you considered just pulling a silicone mold and pour casting a plastic solid yourself? Assuming you dont need a 3d model to make changes it will almost certainly be cheaper.

I did scanning, laser, at a company I used to work for and getting a reasonable model took a bit of effort (read: $$$ on your end). Granted, the definition of reasonable for our situations may be different but scanning and printing a mag using professional companies will probably cost you a couple hundred bucks, minimum.

Whats the mag from? You may be able to pull an existing model off grabcad, etc

Genius, didn't even think about making a mold and casting one.

Just dont forget to shut off the openings on the outside of the mag. Clay works pretty well. Just put some between the feed lips and if there are holes cut in the side to show how many rounds are loaded.
