I enjoy guns. I have many and shoot them often.

I love God and my family.

People use the word “love” way too much.

obviously we have a few people who dislike guns and makes me wonder why they are even on the site but everyone is entitled to their opinion. i have been in the military and consider guns a source of security and sense of self defense for myself and my family when routine law enforcement fails and leaves me no choice but to handle it on my own. i collect old antique weapons to be in touch with history in my own way researching various guns individually. I prefer my meat out of regular store mainly because it hopefully passed FDA inspection and no surprises. Guns are very dangerous but no more dangerous than some idiot driving a car and texting or watching a video movie while driving. Mine are for collecting and self defense as a last resort to keep myself and my family alive.

What better place to talk about gun control than a gun forum? I mean its 2018, like come on its time we talk about banning guns.

What anti American person or group would ask this question on a gun forum?

                  Love 'em.
The aesthetics alone in the development, the intricacies of the machining,
the transfer of intricate metal work to enough mass produced to distribute.
Single shot, revolvers, bolt rifles, machine guns.
And the beyonds that came from that.

American, foreign; small calibers to big bore.
Finicky *****es to can't crush 'em with tank treads.

I've had the good fortune to fire: Galil, AK47, Uzi, scoped/suppressed m16.
My brother's tank carbine from WW2, along with his g4, 3030, 30.06, along with 4 of his 22lr.
He recently picked up a 17MR for 'fun'.
Along with his own 9's and a sweet chrome Sig 45...

My SW15 @ 223? pshhh. Love it! Quiet, fast, simple, cheap(er).
Ruger Speed Six, Shield 9 and the Mossberg 870?
                  I'm good.

I appreciate guns. They’re fighting tools for me. I don’t baby my tools. Shooting, I consider, is a form of martial arts.

                      This.

I come from an engineering background, so I appreciate the infinite variety of approaches to the same basic operations. I collect some, I build others, and I have several that are basic tools as well.

I think "appreciate" is a pretty good term for my feelings in general since I live every day of my life with one on my hip for 16 hours. I really enjoy the recreational aspect of firearms as well, so choice 1.5 for me too.

Do I love them? I love the looks and characteristics of some but guns as a whole, No.
Hate them? no but I dislike a few that I would never own.

Agreed.....I feel the same except for the part about sausage....that's just messed up.

There's been a gun nearby ever since I was born. Mom wasn't afraid of guns and Dad thought it was a good way to teach responsibility. When I was a teenager, we had loaded rifles in three of our bedrooms and no one got hurt or even thought of using one to do harm to someone else.

Living out in the country firearms were like appliances. Now I'm an old man and I'm used to them being around, I know how to use them, and I have no intention of giving them up ever.
