looking for some info

i'm trying to find out if carrying a taser concealed is legal. i searched and came up with nothing. i talked to a local gun store guy he says no concealed carry for the taser as its considered a firearm since it fires a projectile. this doesn't sound right to me so i'm coming here for a second opinion since the gun stores tend to not be up to par on the laws.
