    BLM near Santa Barbara?

I'm planning a bachelor party in mid September in Santa Barbara, but I'm not familiar with the area at all. Does anyone know of a BLM in or near Santa Barbara? Thanks in advance!

Glass factory between SB and Cachuma Lake used to be a popular shooting area but its been years since i looked ibto the spot and it had started to be a dumping ground.

Glass Factory is still good as far as shooting. It's off of the outside of Santa Barbara. Unfortunately with people dumping trash there and shooting at it who knows how much longer it will be around. Also good to try afterwards is Cold Springs Tavern off of the 154 just past Cachuma Lake. Used to be an outpost from the late 1800s.

Have you called the range up in the hills above SB/Goleta to see how much it would be for a group to shoot there ??

Because it seems you can't be bothered to look at a BLM map (some are posted on calguns) or to actually call them to ask about any fire restrictions in local forests, I would suggest the gun range up the hill.

Winchester range. Nice place to shoot. 100yd range with 200rd range available sometimes. Pistol range as well.

Yep, Glass Factory or Winchester Canyon Gun Club. FYI, WCGC is only open to the public Sat and Sun. Monday - Friday you will need to go with a member.

The glass factory is often closed due to fire conditions. Dodge City gun typically knows if they're open or not, call them before you go!

I just realized you asked about mid september, forget about the glass factory. It will be closed for sure as that's high fire season here.

Winchester is your best bet but plan ahead and see if you can reserve a section for your party.

I'm a member of Winchester, and it'll cost you $20/head. That might be a deal breaker. I was just up at the glass factory, and it's not bad for what it is. It will close down soon though, as soon as the door season starts.
