OC Gun Show under attack

Just got this email this morning from Crossroads of the West,

While many here DGAF about the gun shows......I personally feel that ending the gun shows would be a loss for our community and our hobby. I'll make it a point to be there.



The Orange County Fair and Expo Center Board of Directors will meet this Thursday, May 24 at 9AM to discuss the future of the gun show at the Orange County Fair and Expo Center.

We need to have a large turnout of pro-gun activists at the meeting, and we hope that you will be able to attend the meeting and sign up to speak for two to three minutes in support of the gun shows. The meeting will be held in the Board room in the Administration Building at the Orange County Fair and Expo Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, Ca. 92626. The Admin Building is on Arlington Avenue next to the dealer entry gate for the gun shows.

I wouldn't waste too much effort fighting the Fair board. Next time the positions roll over they will change their minds all over again. If Crossroads was bringing in real money, they wouldn't bother. I'm not sure how many tables they are selling,but it can't be many considering how much non gun stuff there is.

If crossroads put on an actual gun show I would care more. I've gone several times over a several year span and have found little worth in going.

Wow,how about trying to support what we do still have vs what we basically will never have again in this state. It is this kind of stance that illustrates WHY the ca gun owning community fails at accomplishing anything pro firearms 99% of the time... kind of douchebag replies guys..

Don't worry CROW has expanded and added the max amount of tables at costa mesa.
Im sure they sell out of all tables, and in fact keep raising the table price.

Non-gun stuff is actually pretty small, but it keeps the women and kids happy.

Non-gun stuff is actually pretty small, but it keeps the women and kids happy.

Not true the tables are juggled around at creative angles and aisles made wider to make it look like there is more than there is. I should do a count on how many tables there are of just crap and not gun related next time. Let alone ones actually selling guns. I'm almost certain there is no problem getting a table at that show.

9am on a Thursday is pretty inconvenient or impossible for most but I figure that was no accident.
