This is how the left will kill the 2nd Amendment. By making it too bothersome to pursue as an interest. You can see it is already working in California.
I like my ammo like I like my women, cheap and dirty!

Just this thread... gun ownership now relegated to "Hobby" instead of a right.

That may not seem significant, but it's the subconscious validating what the state wants us to think of it. Wear down the public to the point of voluntary disarmament by influentially getting them to adopt reclassification and demotion of rights, making control trendy or fashionable, or see it as just a hobby that you will voluntarily give up simply because it's no fun anymore. Social engineering at work.

Croquet... now THERE'S a fun hobby.

Gun ownership is a right. Shooting can be and is a hobby for a lot of people. But not all gun owners frequently undertake shooting as a hobby.

I would define a hobby as something you do for fun, typically aim to improve in the activity and build your knowledge...and usually is a time and money sink. Shooting definitely qualifies.

I think maybe a lot of people in this thread are just experiencing something that happens to me - hobby ADHD.

I find that I keep a core set of hobbies/interests, but I go through phases of intense activity in one hobby and then rotate to another one for a couple months. Sometimes I'll pick up a new hobby for a bit, but I often lose interest in it. I always come back to the "core" hobbies though. Shooting is in that category for me.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
