It's a provocation. No different than when the antis dance on the graves of the kids and use them for propaganda. I wouldn't do it, but I am numb to people being completely insensitive to the tragedies. It's not as if this guy didn't show up the antis wouldn't be exploiting this tragedy right now.

Really? Im sorry i get it, its a terrible tradegy that i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy's, however is it really to soon? Why is it never to soon for the psycho anti gunners to immediately capitalize on tradegies like this? Especially when he isnt even capitalizing on this he is simply beating the idiots to the punch this time, and asserting his god given rights.

No, the problem is you and gun owners like you who are quick to disapprove of anyone doing something you do not like rather than honoring the actual right to keep and bear arms.

It is not supposed to be this way but part of the problem is the paradigm of many gun owners: Guns are fun, they are not taken seriously by most, and the privilege to possess them is good enough.

so tell me, what is honoring about this guy standing in front of the site of a school shooting? what is it honoring? nothing, this is just grand standing, and it will put those in the middle towards more gun control.

do you really think all the parents that show up to pick up their kids are going to say "oh look at that patriot, waving the flag and having that pistol on his hip. i will support eliminating gun control laws".

no, all the parents are going to think is "what is that a-hole doing out here in front of the school with that gun. crazies like him should be banned from owning guns."

and this is what happened with open carry in CA. they pissed off and annoyed the neutral masses enough with all the open carry walks/encounters and they pushed the politicians to put in a law that banned it.
