Something fishy or is it me?

There was never a requirement to keep DROS paperwork, so no its not fishy. Its created a headache actually for people trying to register current RAWs who many have no paperwork..Morning,
So I am in the process of getting an AR pistol lower (lwrc M6ic psd). I asked the seller if he can show me pics of the DROS paperwork stating it’s a handgun/pistol. His response was he currently doesn’t have it or lost it.
Is that fishy or is it just me? Is it to much to ask for DROS paperwork?
Just trying to navigate the landmines of owning an AR pistol. Also is this my first go at an off-roster firearm.
I would think during the PPT, the dealer can/will confirm its a pistol or not (ie. if he inputs as a pistol and it was originally DROS'ed as a rifle he will get a rejection).Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!
The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate) -

I don't think it's fishy at all.
I have a AR Pistol lower that was DROS'd as such and I didn't keep that paperwork...or any other DROS's. Don't see the need?Comment

Not sure, but I think as long as it’s DROS’d to you as a pistol, you’re good.Comment

Lots of people do not have dros paperwork and difficult to get after the fact.Comment

Can't you request a record of all the DROSes you've done from CalDOJ?In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.Comment

Why?
If some random person questions you, screw 'em. If it's an authority questioning you about it then they can quickly look it up for themselves.
If you really want to keep the DROS with you though, you will of course want and need your own DROS, not for the owner before you, so you're still good to go.Comment
