Watched this the other day...

Mailed my first CMP order for a Service Grade M1 yesterday. I'm late to the M1 game, but man am I excited! 2-4 Months according to the website.

A lot of those rifles look very rough. Did you notice the still pic of the Philippine soldier that appears to be dragging the muzzle across the asphalt?

Very rough looking, I'd say field grade and/or low-service grade, either way an M1 Garand will fetch.

I am appalled at the condition of some of those rifles, and that is a direct reflection on the Philippine government. The old adage that a lender will never care for the property like an owner is applicable on the government level.

$650 to $1000 depending on grade.

Maybe $3000 for a Sniper model.

Could be more if you get into the Auctions.

So, Yes, mighty high prices just like the 1911s. Definitely not worth it for those such as you. These are not the rifles you're looking for.
