Typical Marin jerk. I spend a lot of time there and entitlement is the operative word. This probably extends to Marin gun owners as well.

All of this for deer? Really? Imaging, and ballistic test at labs? Don't they have real bodies on the streets that could use the resources?

Instead they're using it on the most abundant animal. If what the guy says is true about him actually trying to keep deer out of his yard and they persisted, then all this is going to get thrown out.

Its Tiburon. Its a wealthy enclave that gets a boatload of tax revenue and has little crime above petty theft.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

You must not be a hunter. Those deer are owned by the public. We pay damn good money on licenses and tags. This guy pays nothing. We, hunters, obey the game laws, this clown didn't. I hope they fine the **** out of him. He appears to believe that he is entitled to do as he pleases regardless of the law. Has he ever heard of deer fencing?

Marin Humane staffers were unable to get to the scene for about 90 minutes. The deer died in the interim.
Hopefully the cops shot them instead of letting them suffer until "Humane" people got there.

Pretty ambitious filing these charges with no witness that saw him shoot, and no weapon.

Oh wait -- it's election season.

The fact you pay good money for tags and licenses doesn't change the basic moral premise that a man should be able to do as he pleases on his property so long as it doesn't hurt anybody else, and to protect his property. If a law says otherwise, and it appears that it does, it's a bad law.

Forgive me if I can't summon any moral outrage over this. Guy was stupid enough to speak to the cops, though.
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

Not only is it an illegal taking of game, it is VERY hazardous. A rifle round shot into the air in Tiburon could very well end up coming to rest in downtown San Francisco, Sausalito or Angel Island..killing some innocent person. It is NOT a safe place to discharge a weapon, particularly a hi powered rifle, because of the population density of the surrounding area.

Yup.. . not only illegal taking of game but a doe and a fawn...What an Ahole! And the moron wasnt even able to cleanly kill them...

Clearly, despite having the money to do so easily, he is too stupid to game-fence in his valuable property or buy an electronic fence and have a couple large dogs.

he wasn't taking a game animal he was getting rid of nuisance that was eating up his $40,000 garden. But it's the bay area should've had a little more common sense.
