    Sharpshooters Range (Torrance) OLL friendly?

Planning to go down to Torrance this weekend to see my girlfriend and would like to take her to the range. Already been to LAX which is okay but its in Inglewood and I dont want to be stuck on the 405.

So is Sharpshooters Shooting Range OLL friendly? Can I also shoot shotguns too? Lead, unleaded, or frangible?

do a search, I remember someone talking about a bunch of probs with them and an OLL. It might have been a transfer but still, they didn't seem to be up to date on OLL info.

      Shotguns are good to go.

How much do they charge and can I use lead ammo for the shotguns?

You can shoot birdshot in the shotties at Sharpshooters.

Their range is not rated for rifle rounds, only pistol rounds from long arms.

LAX Range is OLL friendly but you must buy/use their frangible ammo.

Should be no problem with lead bullets. I do not know the one time range use fee, they had a 5x for $35 and an annual for $250. Their number is 310-618-9971. I do not like to go to any range on Saturday or Sunday due to the large amount of people that shoot on weekends, but if that is your time to go, then go and have fun with that in mind.

Thanks everyone for your input and Im amazed with mixed reviews that Im willing to spend the extra effort and time to go to LAX. How busy is LAX between 10:00AM to 12:30PM? I know that they are OLL friendly but do they offer frangible ammo for 7.62x39?

I'd recommend Insight Shooting Range in Artesia (just down the 91 at the 605). It's a great facility with lots of stalls; my buddy used to own it but the new management is real good too! Check it out:

Working in a range is no fun

You see all sorts of people who maybe questionable on their backgrounds for firearms. You worry about the next guy walking in who might be packing / planning to rob you.

Then you get the type who talks all day about their gun experience, which they have none.

Then you have the type who just don't know wtf they are doing and not point their weapons downrange.

The job keeps you on your toes.
