Are you kidding? There is 4 to 5 month long back orders on ammunition rite now. I had to wait 9 month to get an upper on back order at Midway when the whole 2 weeks thing was going on. Anything fire arms related rite now there is more demand then supply and its not just a CA thing any more. If you want quality and that's what Nodak makes well you just have to wait. At least since you paid their wont be an increase in price. I had a hand guard on back order at Brownells I waited 4 months for and received this week. In that 4 months the price went from 92.00 to 123.00 and I got it for the 92.00. Patience my friend patience. -
Dood,NoDak is a joke!
I ordered a receiver back in January and was told mid February. Talked to Harlan, that suddenly became late Fenruary to early March. Fine. Talked to him again, suddenly late March. Spoke with him now, another "two to three weeks."
This is bullcrap. If you can't fulfill orders, you should get out of the business. At the very least, stop making estimates when you know you're not going to meet them. Had this been any other business, they would be out on their butts already for these massive delays and the utter inability to properly contract out work and get them back in a timely fashion.
They're sitting on hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of people's money and those people have nothing but vague promises to show for their time and money. At this rate, it would probably be well into summer to see anything.
Dammit.
I understand you're frustrated, heck, who wouldn't be?
But take a moment (and a deep breath) and look around at the state of the firearms industry right now. I'm not surprised that NoDak is getting slammed. Every 3rd time he picks up his tools, the phone rings with another order. Every2nd time he picks up his tools, somebody calls whining, "where's my order?". Maybe his estimates are off because there has never been a time and circumstance like this in the existence of his business? And it's an honest schedule slippage due to unforseen circumstances?
I'm not defending him (well maybe a little) but can you take a look around, think beyond your personal frustration, and cut the guy some slack? If you have an alternative source for what he makes, by all means, feel free to indulge it... after all it's a free marketplace. And it'll be one less annoying impatient person on his phone.
If you needed it last year, you should have ordered it last year. If you need it this year... well, be patient and you will likely have it this year. Wish I had more consoling words of wisdom to offer, but that's about the size of it. Do a bit of reading and you'll find out that the entire firearms industry is up in the air right now. NoDak is no exception. Be patient, take delivery estimates with a big rock of salt, and be patient some more - and you will get what you need I have no doubt. Try not to call and pester the guy more than every 4 weeks though... it doesn't make the waiting go any faster.Last edited by bruss01; 03-24-2009, 11:18 AM.The one thing worse than defeat is surrender.Comment

Hey, before you guys posted I decided to delete the post.
As far as "pestering" the guy, it's my damn money and time, not to mention my investment in a parts kit and other parts, which also took time to track down, and I have every right to check on its status, especially if I am promised one thing after another only to see none of them hold true.
On the website it says first week of April. We'll see how solid that promise is, though judging by the past it will be sometime in June...Comment
