Alternative CLP to Ballistol?

I know this comes up every now and then but I was hoping for something a little more specific than the historical threads.

I typically only use CLP because my guns have rust-resistant finishes. I'm also looking for something non-toxic as my apartment doesn't have good airflow.

I like Ballistol, but because of the aforementioned bad airflow the smell lingers for a while even if I spray Febreeze everywhere, and doesn't disappear for about a day.

What I really like about Ballistol is that I can just spray it all over my gun and any metal or wood will just drink it up. Nothing bad happens if I fail to completely wipe the stuff off.

I've been looking at GunZilla and Weapon Shield. Does anyone have any experience with these? I've also seen people mention Frog Lube but I heard the stuff tends to gunk up, unlike Ballistol.

I've used and still have some GunZilla. Worked fine, eats paint, don't use it on wood and plastic.

I use Ballistol for the most part these days as I don't find the smell objectionable, though my wife certainly does.

CLP military grade is light years ahead of Balistol.

Hoppes 9. Clean and wipe off. Wipe gun down with silicone cloth; done.

fireclean is vegetable oil, froglube is coconut oil. They're non toxic, I suppose, but the price is exorbitant for what they are.

Ive been using Weapon Shield for a couple years now and seems to do the job. The owner is very responsive to questions and there's some good videos on youtube about its lubricating properties.

Try G96 Gun Treatment. Works well and smells pleasant.

I realize this is not the CLP route. But recently I've switched over to Breakthrough Clean solvent as it's non toxic, non flammable and just about odorless. Been pretty happy with it and especially the lack of odor.

For lubricant, I've been using Wilson Combat Ultima Lube which comes in oil, grease and something in between (their Universal)...and also a light oil. But almost any oil will do including regular motor oil.

If you're looking for a rust protectant for the finish, Renaissance Wax is fantastic stuff. And has a ton of other uses. It's about $16 for a can but the can will last you forever.

It's great but smells like gasoline FWIW.
