    Ruger 10/22 Mag Question...

    Hi all,

I have a question about the Ruger 10/22, specifically because it uses a rotary magazine can you keep ammo loaded in the mag longer than traditional stacked magazines? Thanks.

The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Some idiots are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything

I dislike ruger 10/22 mags. I have two of them, and they always give me problems. My Butler Creek mag always runs great. I don't like leaving those mags loaded for a long period of time. It's not my defense weapon, so why leave the mag full with ammo?

Easy, yes rimfirecentral is great and informative. I still think we should have a rimfire section here for these kind of questions.

You gotta clean them every few hundred rounds, and not just with water. Spray in some Breakfree/CLP, let it sit for a while, and then rinse with soap and let drip dry upside down. They'll behave themselves after that.
