Buying ammo at WalMart 4-25-18

I was taking Carrie's kid and GF shooting yesterday, went to Wally World to grab some 9mm FMJ. Yeah, I have plenty, but so does Walmart and I don't want to deplete my stash.

The young girl working the counter opened up the case, and let me grab the ammo I needed 400 rounds of 9mm and 100 rounds of .380 no problems. WWB 9mm was $38.79 + tax for 200. PLENTY in stock, just bought it and walked out like the old days. No drama here.

Victorville Walmart, I-15 and Bear Valley. In other words you slackers, there's still time to stock up for a reasonable price.

Went the other day to walmart in Valencia here for some 22 longs. They had these "Bucket of Bullets" (1,400 rounds) for $70. I bought 2 of them.

That will last a few month with my kids.

I dont personally care, Walmart always has the lowest prices so I always buy there

For white box, and in California, I think so... I think Federal was a tad less.

There you have it... a half cent less.

.380 was $31 per 100 for WWB I think. They had one choice a little less but were OOS on that.

how would you compare Win White Box 9mm compared to Federal bargain brass cased ammo 115gr?

are they about the same? would you stock up on Winchester 115 gr 9mm or Federal 115gr 9mm? is the muzzle velocity close?

I prefer Winchester WB for .45 acp because they still use Large pistol primers, Federal .45 acp uses Small pistol primers

I prefer the large primer for better ignition.

The WWB is noticeably dirtier, filthy like a harlot, but the Fed Brass has been extremely consistent and cleaner for me in various calibers. I shoot both, prefer the Fed.

Yeah WWB can be a bit dirty, but it's kind of the standard I guess. It's kind of like going with the devil you know in some ways. I don't know if it's "filthy like a harlot", I'd give that title to the Armscor .45 ACP I was shooting yesterday, after one or two magazine my stainless 1911 looked like it got stuck in a coal fire. And man that Armscor is stout! I should Chrono it sometime, it sure feels a lot hotter than most 230g FMJ.

But the WWB... I don't know why but it's always what I fall back on, kind of like eating at Cracker Barrel or something. Not great, but you know what you're going to get.

I'm not sure, they had that in stock and it said brass case... I think by a quick google search it was/is made by Fiocci but some people say it's been discontinued. Not sure how that would be since Wally was stocking it. It was maybe a dollar a box cheaper than WWB but it was a case as I mentioned of just going with what you already know.

Have you shot any Sellier&Bellot ammo? Generally pretty hot in all calibers. I use a lot of it. Careful, you may develop a flinch
