Martinez 20-something arrested for using antique; ADW

    From Claycord ... http://claycord.com/2018/04/24/marti...deadly-weapon/

Or, as one commenter put it, 'assault with an obsolete weapon'

Really now April 25, 2018 at 4:23 PM

Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless or Smith & Wesson New Departure. It came in either .32 S&W and .38 S&W and was produced from 1887 to 1940.
That looks right, but I'm not an S&W maven.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Yep, the 'lemon squeezer'- not all are antiques, but I think most are.

It'll still put a nasty hole in someone. That looks like a .38 S&W to me, the .32 looks cute, with the weirdly big guard and dinky little cylinder

I was wondering who was so unfortunate to be burgled for the gun.

      Above: .32 S&W, .38 S&W, .38 Special

Probably got it loaded and had just one cylinder full. Would be entertaining to watch him try to reload with .38 Special.

These are not all that uncommon and most probably are not antique. I have a 38 one I had to DROS last year. Lots of these and similar designs by Iver Johnson and others still out there.

I have one in .32. It is a joke, but a neat gun otherwise.

I got mine for free from a FFL I did a favor for the asking price was only around $100 anyhow. It works fine but I limit shooting it. Was probably intended for black powder pressure on vintage I own. Not that great but neat how it has a grip safety. I like too break revolvers but generally better ones like the H&R 999 and Webleys.

Ha! I "inherited" a few of these from my grandpa with the intention of finding a gun buyback in the area and turning them in for $$ to give Grammie... still looking for that buyback. I used a cheap machine screw and nut to hold the two parts together on one of the .32's.
Its an expensive hobby, but more expensive when you try and convince yourself you don't need what you really want.
