No links but theres is 2 ways to do it if not registering.

Featureless= no pistol grip, flash hiding device, colapsible stock or grenade launcher.

Make it a fixed mag rifle. Meaning no detachable mag or changing of the mag without disasembly of the upper with from the lower.
    Plenty of mag lock options.

Look up juggernaut tactical's option. I like it.

    Personally i went featureless.
Thrwad protector from amazon, miad pistol grip with exile machine backfin, magpul fixed stock.

Others have a combo of A2 stocks and monsterman grips.
Kyle "Kenosha Kid" Rittenhouse did nothing wrong

        Thanks gents.

        Thanks for the info gents,
I am not going to register with the DOJ,
The Stag I built will be featureless as AFTRERACTIONREPORT suggested,
And The factory Colt 6920 is getting the Compmag, As JUSTAHOBBY suggested, Reason is because the Colt has staked castle nut, and other parts are loctited together, And don't want to hassle with busting the thing loose. It works flawlessly, And I have only had 3 malfunctions in 6 years due to a bad mag., With reloaded or factory ammo.
Please give a report on the Compmag when you get to the range,

Question, I have a CMMG 22lr.conversion kit, Seems like the Stag would be an easier candidate for using the kit,
        Any suggestions?

I enjoyed the CMMG 22 BCG while I had it, until I switched to a CMMG dedicated 22 upper.

            Thanks Mach,
SO, I can get a 22 upper for the Colt or Stag and be Ca. compliant? Or just put the kit in one of them?

All the AW laws apply to centerfire guns, so any rimfire gun can be as evil as it wants to be. However once you convert back to centerfire, it must once again either be featureless or fixed mag.

What does a staked castle nut have to do with compliance alterations?

                Thanks for the reply kcheung2,
So, I can be perfectly legal with the drop in 22lr. CMMG kit?

The Colt is factory built, And I don't want to hassle with taking it apart, The Stag is my build from stripped lower, So I am more comfortable with disassembly. Nothing to do with compliance,

2 solutions done for Ca. compliant

#1 - Got the compmag today in the mail for the Colt 6920, It is very well built, And customer service and shipping time was great, Will do a range report next week, Real simple fix if you don't want to take apart your rifle, And it can go back easily when you leave Cali. You sure aren't going to do any competition events with it, But you got 10 rounds.

#2 - Bought a CMMG dedicated 22lr. upper for the Stag, Don't know if I will modify the collapsible stock yet, But do have the fixed stock to do so If deemed necessary for legality. I have 5.56 stamped on my lower.

This should keep me full feature and legal, Any thoughts or input?

Why do you want to ruin them and make them look like crappy toys.
