Gray Guns - Wait time, really?

In September 2017, I sent in work order for Sig320 Competition Action package, estimate returned and they said 2-3 weeks. About same time, maybe a bit later, recall happened with Sig. Gray Guns said they would be able to take care of recall and upgrade pistol/caliber conversion kits at same time, 2-3 time frame pushed back. Curved face trigger became unavailable, further push back. Website shows curved trigger available again...still no word or request to ship.

At this point, six months have passed, every call to them rep says, soon but not yet. Beginning to think I might be kicking a dead dog. Anyone else have similar experience with hurry up and wait? Anyone recommend Sig Armorer (RBurke) over Gray Guns?

The wait is well worth it.... Just be lucky you aren't having Bruce build you a 1911. The wait now is 5-6 YEARS....

Long wait - great results. Sent my tired P229 to them. 3 months later got it back (they were evacuated because of the fire at that time). My P229 never felt better.

          Their work is excellent!!!

Certainly not a dig on Gray Guns or anyone else, but while wait times can vary due to factors beyond their control, they ALL should do a better job of communicating status with their customers.

I’ve been waiting for a Gray P226 performance package to get back
Into stock, Gray sent a in stock notice. .I ordered and it was here in four days.
              No complaints here.

                Good, cheap, fast. Pick two.

Grayguns is of excellent quality (good) and they are relatively inexpensive as compared with the industry for custom work (cheap). Don't expect fast.

There is gunsmithing out there that is good and fast, but expect to pay 4-5x the cost of the gun for the work.
