DROS Date?

Anyone know how to get your DROS date from the DOJ? Or if you even can. Just spoke to an employee at one of the stores I made a purchase at and the lady said the DOJ already has the DROS date. Has anyone done this yet?

Submit a request to CA DOJ.

This can be done by mailing a completed AFS Request for Firearms Records to CA DOJ BOF.

CA DOJ BOF will mail back a response within 2-30 weeks.

Contact the FFL who did the transfer.
If in regards to BBRAW registration then if you know it was before 2014 just use your best estimate.

all they have to do is put your name into the DES system on review a DROS and it will pop up with the date of all the DROS you have ever done there. I dont think there is some specific amount of time its available then vanishes. Gun shops are just lazy and dont want to log in and look you up is all. Ive done it about 100 times so far for registration dates. Takes 30 seconds..
