I called Gun Effects in City of Industry and asked if I can PPT a AR pistol lower and the guy on phone said yeah. Met with the buyer and they tell us they can't just do the lower it's against the law because it's a assault weapon, I tell them about the penal code that says separate upper and lower is not a assault weapon, it's clear but they say no, they would need the complete AR pistol ...... umm okay I step outside with the buyer and we decide to DROS it complete with a fixed mag, we go back in and then they change their mind and said they aren't allowed to do AR pistol at all lower or fixed mag. I showed them my paperwork of a Daniel Defense MK18 AR pistol I did just last year at their store and the pistol we're DROSing today was a factory pistol bought from Turner's, and the employee just repeated they don't do it, ok no arguing here their store their rules.
I should be upset at California for all these ridiculous laws, but shouldn't the gun stores know the laws since they're in the business of it? In the past four years I bought G34, G19, and G17 from Gun Effects, all were good experiences, but this experience left a sour taste, will probably take my business elsewhere not that it matters to them.
