All the gleeful posts about a homicide are disturbing. Seems like most of the posts in this thread are manufactured reasons to justify the shooting.
The worst comments that I have read in this thread, have a lack of care about a category of people who are anti-gun. I would attribute their attitude as a backlash to the attitude that they have demonstrated has towards our community.

In case you have missed it, this country is polarized and getting worse.

I read every post above and I didn't see any gleeful posts of the deaths? Did I miss something? I see joking posts about what type of character the murderer was, but once again nothing about being happy or gleeful of the shooting or deaths.

This one hits home because I work in tech in the bay area. I know people at google, youtube, etc. I hope businesses wake up and allow their employees to conceal carry. If they can't protect them, at least allow individuals to try to protect themselves. My startup is a tiny <10 person studio in SF, and they won't let me open or concealed carry at work.
Google will never have armed employees let alone provide an armed detail. When I was contracted security at MT View it was 1 of the things I realized most in dealing with DV or firings is that we couldnt stop a rampaging threat with a weapon. Plus its a damned if you do or damned if you dont incidents. Which is why I left even when I got an offerred o go in house I still declined in 2014. To this day Google will not shell out millions to make an in house armed response team. Even though it costs Google to feed their employees $100 million a year. The only companies in CA that are fully staffed armed are Biotech companies. Only 1 company in Palo Alto has an armed security detail and its a game developing company of all things.

Not much humanity on display. Seems that You Tube employees are fair game, because of the Corporate policies. I don't get the joke, except in the end the jokes really is on us gun owners. Each one of these tragedies just puts more and more fence sitters in the other camp. Here we are joking about it? So much for demonstrating to the other side who we really are.

All the reports say that one of the victims was her boyfriend, so yes, it was "domestic violence". It was also "workplace violence" and maybe even, "animal rights violence".

How can you say that you don't think it was domestic violence? I'm just wondering what else it could be called then?

                      Well, it is California.

I was at the gym this afternoon and annoyingly MSNBC was on the TV's.
Boy did they editorialize and dramatize with implicit weight toward the gun control conclusion.
                          Talk about brain washing.
The newscaster even brought up Jackie Speier surviving the Guyana shooting back in the day...... They dribble out the dots and the audience connects the lines.
The pain,Oh the pain Will Robinson.

Let's not call it "gun violence" but " illegal use of firearms".
The latter implies a perpetrator as cause.
