80% AR15 Lower Jig

I am somewhat new to AR-15s and am wondering if you guys have any recommended jigs for use with a drill press and mill/router. If possible, I would be willing to buy one/rent one off of you.

I went with Tactical Machining's jig, and it has served me well. But if I had to do it over again, I would go with the EZ jig from 80% arms.

Buy one cry once. Get the 80% Arms gen 2 easy jig. Does both AR-15 and 308 lowers. I have the gen 1 which only does AR-15 and it works great.

Word of advice, get a variable speed router if you don't already have one. I started milling lowers with a full size fixed speed Milwaukee router and it's so fast the shank of the router bit started eating away at the top plate for milling the pocket. Had to order a replacement. You'll want a slower rotational speed.

I use an 80% Arms EZ jig, gen 1; my son milled a lower -by himself- at 11 years old. My contribution to it was verbally coaching him through it and making sure the bits and end mills were secured in the drill press and router, respectively.

If a scrawny 75-lb preteen can do it, so can you.

5D Tactical Pro and 80% ARMS Gen 2 Easy Jig are the best two out there right now. Either one of them will give you good results. Read up on the differences between the two, watch some Youtube videos and decide which one you feel you'd be more comfortable using.
