    Has anyone used these earplugs?

      Yep ... I use the EP4's. They're generally all I wear; can't get a good cheek weld with big ear-muffs. There's a hollow tube through the middle that allows you to hear conversations, but the material inside reacts to the pressure wave from loud concussions and closes up.

      But they're only useful in an outdoor setting. They will not be useful in an indoor range.

        16-19 dbl dont sound like much to me.....S+W make a good foam 30 dbl that are nice... I always double plug ..over time it makes a diffrence.

            They would be for outdoor shooting. I've been using foamies for a while and they tend to fall out any time I put a rifle to my cheek. Oddly enough I don't notice for a while, usually when I go to shoot a handgun. Maybe because while holding the rifle my shoulder kind of covers my ear.
