    Pro Gun Marketing

For the whirlwind of crap that we're going through right now, I realized the only real visibility people have to firearms are either A) on the news from a violent killing or B) In movies/tv in violence and killing.

If we had a campaign put out to educate the masses and entice people to exercise their rights, I doubt we'd have such an uphill battle.

EX. A family going to after school activities, they drive by a soccer field, nope not going there, a swimming pool, nope not going there, a karate studio, nope not going there...

Then they pull up to a range as the daughter excited gets out of the car.

Cut to, them safely uncasing a pink themed shotgun/handgun/rifle.

Then we see the daughter compete having a blast. Last shot as the dad wraps his arms around her, she asks if she can go one more round and the dad says "Not today sweetie, you have homework"

    OR

Family is at home, and pops is carrying on his hip, but you don't see it. They're watching a movie. Cut to two bad guys sitting in a van outside, getting ready to rob the place. As they come up to the house they throw a rock through the window, and jump in as the dad unholsters his firearm, to the dismay and surprise of the burglars and tells them to get on the a ground.

We see a clear shot that this defiant man stands between his family's safety and the scum of the world.

Final cut as cops cuff the dude.

Not part of the media narrative. They won't allow it.

Look at that show Last Man Standing where Tim Allen was a conservative and worked in a Bass Pro Shop type place. They yanked it off the air and it had good ratings.

The NRA and pro gun groups have the $$ to circumvent the "media". They just don't push for it...

The visibility is what we need to show people the actual side to firearms ownership, not the crap that's shown to them all the time.

We can begin by positively responding to the media when they positively cover something even remotely 2A-related. Example: there was fairly extensive coverage of the biathlon in the Winter Olympics (cross-country skiing and shooting). We all should have emailed, posted, and called the network with "hey, it was great seeing that!" types of replies.

Perhaps Calguns can help by letting us flag these instances so members can "do their thing."

          Thoughts?

That'd be a great start. We have to start removing the smoke and mirror show surrounding guns and the ignorance the left perpetuates to continue to encroach on the 2ND.

Once people understand and know the whole story, their first reaction is "oh..."

              Really?

You don't need anything more than what the NRA and other state gun groups are doing.

              Anything more will backfire.

In boxing you don't always charge forward.

              You duck and feint.

              Tactics are important -

Really? How has that worked out for us so far?
