For the whirlwind of crap that we're going through right now, I realized the only real visibility people have to firearms are either A) on the news from a violent killing or B) In movies/tv in violence and killing.
If we had a campaign put out to educate the masses and entice people to exercise their rights, I doubt we'd have such an uphill battle.
EX. A family going to after school activities, they drive by a soccer field, nope not going there, a swimming pool, nope not going there, a karate studio, nope not going there...
Then they pull up to a range as the daughter excited gets out of the car.
Cut to, them safely uncasing a pink themed shotgun/handgun/rifle.
Then we see the daughter compete having a blast. Last shot as the dad wraps his arms around her, she asks if she can go one more round and the dad says "Not today sweetie, you have homework"
OR
Family is at home, and pops is carrying on his hip, but you don't see it. They're watching a movie. Cut to two bad guys sitting in a van outside, getting ready to rob the place. As they come up to the house they throw a rock through the window, and jump in as the dad unholsters his firearm, to the dismay and surprise of the burglars and tells them to get on the a ground.
We see a clear shot that this defiant man stands between his family's safety and the scum of the world.
Final cut as cops cuff the dude.
