    Ghetto 22lr targets

I wanted reactive targets for 22lr plinking. Couldn’t find a KYL set for under 200.

What I ended doing was buying a bunch of Champion popper targets and welding some really small extensions.

These are my 1/4 and 1/2 inch poppers. KYL btw, if you didn’t know means Know Your Limits. It’s a 22lr match that has targets from 2 to 1/4 inch in .25” increments. They’re set up anywhere from 50 to 100 yards.

I’ll be testing these on live rounds, and if they do ok, I’ll finish the set from 2 to 1/4.

      Targets look well-built, nicely done!

("Ghetto" targets would use duct tape and shoehorns)

Ghetto is scooping up a trash bag of hulls from the trap field...

And sticking the spent hulls in the dirt to use as a target
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Old golf balls are fun reactive targets.

Ghetto is using old fry pans or pots to make the gong

Ive used an old iron wok for a gong for pistol shooting

When you say ghetto, do you mean shooting at those targets with a 22LR in the KFC parking lot? ha ha humor.
No, really, you don't want to do that. The drumsticks taste terrible.

I’m done with 3. And I’m getting pretty consistent with my welding.
