US Revolver Co

My aunt gave me one that belonged to my grand father twenty or so years ago. I've never shot it and don't intend to, but it's a nice family heirloom. The US Revolver Company, however, does have an interesting history. Read up on them. A model similar to that one was used in the assassination of President McKinley and another was used during an attempt on President Franklin Roosevelt.Comment

What's the history of it in your family OP? Was it your mom's originally?
Big D, my dad left me an Iver Johnson .22 revolver.
If I remember as a kid the darn thing misfired as often as it fired. I just kept it in the family to eventually give to my nephew.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.Comment

No known history. My mom kept it when she was the executor of my great aunts estate.Comment

If you can get a few hundred bucks for it take the money and run. More like $100 or less.Comment

U. S. Revolver Co. was the store brand name for Iver Johnson, and all their pistols were made for smokeless powder ammo. The serial number is on the frame under the left grip, the letter prefix indicates the year it was made.

Well it's not a valuable gun in the first place, I'm not sure you'll find many buyers at any price. Not trying to be a jerk but it's truly a bargain basement piece. I hate to say it but i'm kind of on board with the gun buyback idea. Tell them it's an assault revolver.Buy made in USA whenever possible.Comment
