    West Coast Gunworks

Does anyone know how I can get a hold of these guys ? I've made multiple efforts to try and recover a rifle that they have of mine over a few years and I am at a loss at this point. I would prefer to get it back but it has been 3-4 years now and will have to report it as lost/stolen if I can't recover it.

If anyone from wcgw or know of anyone who works there could ask if they could contact me here I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

Defiantly call the police. I would have called after a month or sooner.

You should be careful about accusing this outfit of a crime on a public forum. They may or may not have committed a crime, depending on several things that I will not go into in any detail. If they acquired the gun by false representations, there may be a crime. If after accepting it they wrongfully converted it to their own use, that could be theft by embezzlement. The refusal to return it or to reply to your inquiries could justify a police inquiry. While what you say in a police report may be confidential and may not expose you to a civil action for slander/libel, repeating what report to the police set you up to get sued.

If you haven't, you may want to try sending a plainly worded letter by certified mail. You should politely but firmly advise the gun smith of how long they have to reply in writing. Too much time has past to allow for he said she said swearing matches.

As I do not know or want to know any more information about your predicament, I cannot say what I would do with any certainty. However, if I was Law Enforcement I would wonder why you have let 3 to 4 years pass. Something is wrong with this picture. Good luck.

Some say that he once mooned two prostitutes just for a round of drinks, but wasn't surprised by the reply......They call him, the Hutch
Some say that he rode a dirtbike 7k miles across the country and that he once applied Bengay to his own testicles for a mere $50............They call him, the Hutch -Top Gear

I've gone over many times, left a note with contact info and never received a reply. I can't seem to get them on the phone or email either. I live an hour away so its not like I can keep just showing up hoping they are there.

If no reply already I'd strongly consider reporting it stolen.

Not sure why you waited this long to escalate the situation, but if they aren’t returning any calls i would do the following:

                              - leave them a voicemail saying how long they’ve had the gun, approximately how many times you’ve tried contacting them, the contact methods you used (email, voicemail, knock on the door, etc). Tell them that they have 10 business days to get in contact with you, to make arrangements to return the gun to you within 20 business days, or you will have no choice but to report it as stolen.

                              - follow up with an email outlining the exact same info.

                              - if you don’t hear back from them within 10 days or don’t have the gun back within 20 days, report it as stolen immediately.
                              my Benitez goes to 11
