    Customer Pressure Worked, This Time

Somehow, I never noticed that they'd stopped selling them.

Military exchanges reverse decision to stop selling high capacity magazines

Responding to customer pressure, Army and Air Force Exchange Service stores Monday reversed their decision to stop selling high capacity ammunition magazines just 10 days after they were removed from 72 military Post Exchanges, or PXs, across the United States.

We need to get rid of this "High capacity magazine" term. When we speak to boarder line libs they need to understand that these mags are standard and not high capacity.

MCAS Yuma won't reverse. Seems too many people from California kept going in there and buying them and since ONLY a military ID is required to buy, the base CO made the command decision.

I would wonder how they KNOW the buyer is from CA and why is it their responsibility if a buyer uses the product illegally.

It is totally legal for a CA resident to purchase a standard capacity mag out of state. It is, however, illegal to bring the mag back to California without first permanently modifying it to accept 10 rounds or less.

The ones that did stop selling them only did so a week ago. It was a stupid decision.

CA mags should be referred to as low capacity magazines instead.

In a legal discussion, NOT using the legal term creates confusion.

In less formal contexts, pretty much everybody knows what you mean.

Just remember, high capacity for an as-designed 1911 is eight or more.

I prefer calling 10-rounders "magazines for low internal quantity." Or, just Low I.Q. Mags.

So, when debating a lefty, just keep referring to how they love their Low I.Q. Mags.
