Optimize your reloading with EGW's Undersize 9mm Luger Die, designed for precision and durability. Experience improved case performance without lubrication. Perfect for serious reloaders!
Undersize Reloading Die, 9mm Luger
Product #: 70010
PRICE: $29.00
Our Dies are maufactured by Lee Precision.
If a die is available online to purchase, it is in stock. Due to high demand the inventory will be fluctuating constantly.
Extra decapping pins available here.
A must for the serious reloader: EGW offers custom designed, carbide sizing dies that are 0.001" smaller in diameter than typical dies. Not only is it smaller in diameter, but the bottom corner is also radiused which sizes the case further down. This helps prevent feed failures from cases that bulged near the base during reloading- Our Dies are maufactured by Lee Precision.

Undersized Reloading Dies will work with a Dillon Press if they are 550, 650, or 1050. They will not work if they are squared.

I have one. I'm wondering if Glock owners ever have problems with resized 9mm brass fitting into their "oversized" chambers. If you absolutely want to eliminate Glock Bulge

Let me try this a different way. I don't own a Glock. Does anyone with a Glock ever have a resized, reloaded 9mm round fail to "plunk" into their Glock chambers?Anchors Aweigh

Yes
The glock bulge especially impacts gen 2 glock 22/23 in 40 cal
A much bigger bulge that is at the base where a lot of carbide dies don’t resize all the way down.
The EGW drops furthers down onto the case to remove the bulge.Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

The .40 is a straight walled case- even pressure all the way down on resizing
9mm is slightly tapered. As you go further down with the press, pressure increases / resistance increases as you are compressing the base more.
If you are having issues, buy the undersized die and don’t worry about it.
Or adjust your existing die as low/ close to the ram as possible. Carbide can shatter when it hits the ram. Some say space with a nickel others with a dime to allow for resizing and not contacting the ram.
Then resize the brass twice. Each pics of brass will then go through the press in 2 different positions to better size it back to factory specs
I don’t lube pistol Ammo but if it is hard to run the press all the way due to the taper and the bulge, consider lube in the process.Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

I've shot many 10's of thousands of 40 S&W in my Glock 24 and never had an issue with my reloads (using Lee dies).Comment

I don't have a Glock in 9mm so I can't address how reloads run in them. But I've shot many thousands of my reloads in my SIG P226, Ruger P89, and G24 with a 9mm conversion barrel and they all chambered and fired fine. Unlike what someone else mentioned I seat the die all the way down so that it touches the shell plate, so perhaps that takes care of the case bulge others have experienced.
I occasionally check the rounds in a case gauge and I've never had one fail to drop all the way in. This was with both Lyman and Lee carbide dies.Comment

I reloaded some 9mm brass from the range awhile back and used my G17 barrel as my case gauge. Used 124 gr FMJ. Longshot 5.8 gr w/ 1.150 OAL and N340 4.9 gr w/ 1142 OAL. Fired fine.
I did have an issue with some brass not tightening my bullets particularly Blazer brass even when turning my bullet seating die 1/4 turn more for a slight crimp so i tossed them. Crimping die and did not help. Out of 9mm brass at the moment but if it happens again I'm going to buy some Starline brass and use those.
Someone told me to be careful of some 9mm brass because it is actually nickelLast edited by lakersfan; 03-05-2018, 3:16 PM.Comment
