Can an FFL refuse PPT for someone under 21?

For FFL's that are making their own sales policies for people under 21, can they legally refuse a PPT?

IDK, might make a good age discrimination suit.

However businesses had the right to refuse service to anyone prior to Obama.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

They can probably refuse service to anyone they want. For any reason.

FFL's in CA are required to perform PPT's by law. Its a condition of their license in this state.

I may want to give a fine young gentleman a good deal on a lightly used AR chambered in ultra scary, "high-powered", 50 beo. Oh the humanity. Maybe we should organize a PPT day.

Wouldn't mind seeing Dick's get sued over it. Conditions of their FFL require them to conduct legal firearm PPTs. If they don't sell handguns, rule is they don't have to do PPTs on handguns; but there is no 21 and under age exception for declination on doing PPTs for long-guns if in fact, they sell long-guns.

Anyone wanna make some news? I would do it, but I haven't see 21 in a few decades.

                  Can they legally refuse? No.
Can they say "the person appeared sketchy and they acted judiciously to not do the transaction out of concern for public safety" and get away with it?

Absolutely, and no one would question their motivation and in fact most would cheer on the decision.

What's legal and what they can get away with all the time are two different topics. There has been a long history of complaints to the ATF and CA DOJ/BOF that are completely ignored. It's a super low priority.

If by 'legally' you mean no agency is interested in enforcing the law, then Yes, they can refuse pretty much anything they don't want to do.

Your only recourse is to take your business to some other FFL.

I recall Florida's AG, Pam Bondi (R), being questioned on Fox News about denying gun sales to a specific age group and whether or not it's legal. Her response was more or less " I haven't looked into it, and I don't really care, we are going to pass a law in a week anyway.

The actual law is not relevant any longer. People are just going by what feels good (weed, immigration, "no student arrest" policy that lead to FL shooting, 2A, 4A, and total disregard for the constitution).

How 'bout if you don't like something in this country CHANGE THE MFING LAW!!! Their cavalier attitude towards long standing, well established, law emboldens others to adopt the same attitude towards laws they happen to disagree with.
