Ventura Fairgrounds Gunshow

Hi all,

I know the Ventura County fairground has gun shows every once and a while.

For anyone here who might have gone to the last one (late Aug I think), did they have anything worth while?

What worthwile other gun shows are there in or around (say 40 minutes driving time) Santa Barbara or Ventura County?

The Ventura show was three rooms. Miwall is there. OLL's are there, AK, AR, ect. Some bargains, but the best deals happen before the show between the dealers. You can save money by getting your ammo from Miwall and saving the shipping cost. Over all, it's ok for a Kali show.

Ventura always has good deals on ammo, and the last show had quite a bit of AR stuff, including lowers. I'm sure that we will start seeing more and more of the off-list stuff and parts kits in the near future.
I have scored a couple of nice curio/relic guns there, though generally most are overpriced.

However, IIRC the next Ventura show isn't untill next year.

I think there was supposed to a gun show of some sort there in November.... I'm somewhat familiar with the fairgrounds because I go there for the VC fair and the Cold Steel expo every year.

However, nothing's going to happen at the fairgrounds any time soon: it's currently the firefighter command post for fighting the Day fire.

That's why I was curious about other gun shows around Santa Barbara/Ventura County, I've been working odd jobs and hopefully will have enough saved to buy some goodies in a month or so.

I used to go hiking in Los Padres all the time. It's a tough place to fight fires, no doubt about it. Still, I can't imagine that the fire would still be burning in Nov...

Maybe Miwall isn't going to the Ventura Nov show.

The last Santa Barbara show was curios and relics. I picked up some cheap ammo and a magazine for my Desert Eagle, but they had no new guns for sale.
