    AR Pistol Gun Case

I need a gun case to transport an AR pistol via airliner. Case may be used once or twice a year.

I do not want to use a huge Pelican gun case or even the Plano case that I have. Those just scream gun.
I would prefer to transport the AR pistol split in half in a smaller container.

I purchased an Expedition multi gun case but the AR pistol barely fits.

    So I came across this:

Would require cutting some foam but that's OK.

It has two areas to put in locks. Would this work? Would it be considered TSA approved?

Not sure what constitutes TSA approved, are gun cases submitted to them and then approved or does "TSA approved" just mean a rigid specific type of case?

Law Tactical AR Folding Stock Adapter and pelican case works great. That case looks good as long as you can't get and fingers inside while locked with latches open.

Get a Pelican 1495 and call it a day. Not any bigger really than that Rigid box.

A knock off Pelican 1495 would be perfect. Gonna look for a used one too.

        Thanks for the suggestion.

Not a bad idea...I use those for work and they are very well made. The price is right and no one would be the wiser.

Make sure you get one with the combo lock on it. It's nice being able to transport it and / or take it shooting and not have to put padlocks on it.
