OFFICIAL DEL MAR (3/21-22) CALGUNS BOOTH THREAD

    It's that time again...

bplvr will be hosting the second Calguns booth at the Del Mar gun show this coming weekend, March 21-22. If you haven't penciled in any plans for the weekend (or even if you have ) please swing by the booth and support those who are supporting you!

It should be a great time if the Cow Palace show was any indication. Members can stop by and grab a name tag to show off that CGN pride as you walk the rest of the show.

Hubby need a new hat? How about one of the nice new Bella women's shirts for the wife or girlfriend? They'll be there, as well as some NEW CGN art tees (these things look sharp, but you gotta come by to find out), Flyliner's OLL books, gloss-print flowcharts, decals, bumper stickers and more! As before, all proceeds are heading to The Calguns Foundation to help the boys push for some shiney new gun rights and keep some friendlies out of three hots and a cot.

Again all, swing by, say hello to your fellow Calgunners and enjoy the company of those who make up this phenomenal community!

Planning on going with at least two others, unless they flake. Should be there first thing Saturday since I need to pick up primers.

Gee, I walked right by this thread prior to posting the one below about who's going to Del Mar.

        Sorry about that.
Think I'm in the habit of overlooking sticky's when I'm skimming the board.

        Spank me now.

By the way I sent out the blue polo's for the Volunteers Wednesday afternoon.
bplvr you ought to be seeing them as soon as the BBT shows up.
I didn't have a chance to look at them so count them, match up the names to the shirts and see if all is well. If not PM me as I'm at work.

Polo's are here ,and with a little schedule juggling I'll get some set up done tomorrow so the CGN volunteers have time to get to the ammo booths early.
Being a volunteer does have it's perks, including the "Collector's Edition " CGN Polo shirts . We will be up and running at 9:00 Saturday. See you there !

I posted a Del Mar thread in the Range/Meet forum and didn't know anything about this one.

Wildhawker, may I ask why there won't be a booth at the Costa Mesa show on the 28/29 of March. I decided to go there instead of Del Mar once I found out Ammo Bros. doesn't go to Del Mar. I probably would have if I had seen this thread tho.

I wanted to go to a show before the Area 53 shoot May 1-3 and the Ontario one, tho closer to me is after that.

Is it too late to set up a Costa Mesa booth. Thanks.

These booths are both expensive (~$2000 for the setup, ~$160 in fees and ~$600-800+ for consumables and sale goods) and take a substantial amount of time and work by the organizer (~40 hours+), not to mention the corp of volunteers (4-6 per day) it takes to man them.

We need to keep in mind that it's an all-volunteer, no-paid-staff type of effort. The goal is to develop a local core of Calgunners to organize and manage these type of events on a "regional" basis, but it will take some time to do that.

I posted our tentative list of shows in another thread; I'm sorry you didn't see that list, but I hope you would understand that we simply cannot be at all events statewide at this point. To answer your question, it's too late for the next Costa Mesa show. We should have about 1 month lead time for a booth or event.

Brandon, I understand, no problem. I actually saw that other thread, which had a link to this thread; that's why I posted here.

Well, I can volunteer at the Ontario show May 16 if you need someone. That is the one I started go to once they began holding it there. So, do I volunteer here or the other thread you are referring to.

Retired, I still have your contact info, so I'll PM you my email (easier than PMs). We need a local coordinator for the IE area- any volunteers?
