    Gun Purchase DELAYED!?

I started the DROS process on 20 Jan 2018 and i got delayed 2 days before my pickup date. CA DOJ sent me a very generic letter and I have yet to get the reason why I am getting delayed. I have no criminal history, i have been live scanned by the state 5 times and all have come back clear. I am in thew process of getting honorably discharged from the military. What should I do? Who should I call.

You sound pretty anxious and it would be somewhat interesting to know why.

What should you do? Start by having a beer to calm you down.

Next, if having this gun is a matter of life and death, contact the police and tell them about the threat so they can help you deal with it.

If having this gun isn't a matter of life and death, give it a little more time or contact the DOJ directly.

The Military just put 14000 or so people on the list to be denied. I hope you didn't get put on by mistake. Only time will tell. Wait for DOJ letter and respond appropriately.
        Good luck.

Common name? Did you put your SSN down? Any DV holds while you were enlisted? Was it a General discharge? An OTH? Etc?

Could be they are verifying all the names before anyone gets cleared who is/was discharged from the military?

            Hope it works out.
