    Different question about ammo sales

Mods--Sorry if this isn't the right forum Please feel free to move.

Say I decide to get out of a particular caliber. Let's say I'll sell off a 45-70 rifle and no longer need the ammo for it.
A complete stranger wants to buy said 45-70 and all of my ammo for it, say 500 rounds.
Can I transfer the ammo as part of the PPT?

Best I understand it, you can sell/give away 500 rounds right? Why not just sell the gun and give the buyer the ammo?
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

Or just find someone you know isn't a damn rat or cop and sell it to them. It's your private property, there isn't some magical ammo regulator watching your every move to make sure you don't sell 1 round over 501 per month FFS.

What if they made the law saying you can't sell any, period? That's coming next. Would you all just obey? I know my answer.

OK, 500/month I guess is the limit so let me jack the number up to a full case of 1000 rounds.
Assuming none of my friends want it and I cannot tell who is a rat. Can the 1000 rounds be transferred to the buyer as part of the PPT? Gun and 1000 rounds of ammo.

Knowledgeable lawyer question, you ask. Law is in flux and undecided in many ways.

Answer you seek is not a for a common person, certainly not on a website consisting of strangers.....

You have to transfer the gun through the FFL...

New ammo regs say ammo must be transferred through FFL...

I don't see the problem. Just ask the FFL who does your PPT to include it in the sale, hopefully he'll do it all for the same fee.
