You also might consider the Olight Valkyrie PL Mini - 400 lumens for $70.

I am a Surefire fan...they have never failed me or anyone I know and a number of my friends use them hard in LEO / Military duty. Besides prefer to buy American whenever possible.

Yeah I saw that but the issue would be finding holsters that fit that light.

            Holsters

I have one (Olight PL Mini,) I wanted a light that didn't protrude past the end of my barrel on the P229. Has been rock solid for about 1000 rounds so far with no issues.
All of my weapon light holsters, both the Surefire X300 and Streamlight TLR holsters fit the PL Mini just fine FYI.
Plus it's great to be able to keep and recharge the light while attached to the pistol.

                  nice

I hadn't noticed the laser. Nice compact package though, haven't seen one of those in real life yet. Let us know your experience which ever you decide on.

Is this for in the home use? I bought the Streamlight TLR-1 because it's only 300 lumens. It's about the brightest I would use in the house. I have a Surefire that's like 600 lumens and if I turn that thing on in the house the reflection from the walls blind me as well.

The tlr7 doesn't have a laser I'd rock that one. Only problem is it doesn't fit any of my holsters afaik

This will be for CCW use mostly.

                          I know, that's why I'm eyeballing a TLR8!

Surefire's are expensive, with low lumen output.

I'd personally get the TLR-1 HL instead of the laser one, but if you want the laser I'd take it over the surefire. Streamlight is sworn by so many, and in a civilian setting I can justify spending more than double the price for a light that's performing sub-par to the streamlight.

                              Go with the Streamlight.
