      The BM59 is a Roberti-Roos named Assault weapon. You can never own that in California. I own one and like a fool I didn't register it but instead, moved it along with a LOT more Roberti-Ross named guns to a home / safe in Az. Most of us thought for sure they would be coming to collect them all within 5 years of the legislation. Never happened and I dont really get to enjoy any of them but the three AW's I did register: CAR-15, FN-FAL and HK91

              Yes it would be as the receiver is the "registered" item.

                  These BM59s are made by James River, not Springfield. However they will not ship it to CA per their website.

                      Has to be banned by make AND model, so this one's good to go. Good luck getting affordable 10 round mags though.
