guitar case / gun case
that might work if your known to play musical instruments or part of a band
but if you dont fit the part or people know you dont play the guitar they will get suspicious eventually , thieves often make lots of observations before they plan the burglary.
If they see you with rifles / firearms just once is all that it takes, Ive had people make comments on a shotgun I once transported to and from my car a couple of times years after I stopped, when people see a gun they dont forget.
people can also tell your carrying firearms & ammo by the weight, they can see what your carrying is heavier than what it should be, they know something else must be inside.Last edited by omega; 02-06-2018, 10:57 AM.Comment

Perfect thank youI always liked these from Grey Ghost Gear. I was pretty tempted to pick one up with they were about 50% off late last year.

Guitar and tennis racket cases may be discreet, but they are huge targets for theft. Because they typically hold high value goods. Same with backpacks.

something that makes it appear low value
a laundry bag, to make it look like your just making a trip to the laundromat with some extra towels or clothing on top to help camo / disguise it
with a bottle of laundry detergent in one hand
or a laundry basket with dirty clothing thrown on top to cover it up, nobody is going to care if your taking your laundry out

i made my own out of a ridgid tool box from home depot (for my handguns)

I made this. (The blue foam was for testing, it has since been switched to gray.)
Sorry, not sorry.

Or if it's an early 70s Les Paul case and you're carrying a 1919 and 100rd belt, they'll be able to tell because it carries too light.- Rich

About a year ago I caught of ration of sheet from a dozen posters here about being Mr. Inconspicuous. You would have thought I'd gone over to the dark side because I recommended firearms transport in some kind of case you could buy at Home Depottie.
I was suspected of being lite on all 2A concerns, my ManCard had to be revoked, someone even had something to say about my mother. Oh well. Times are a changing.Comment
