I agree to free market sales. I have the God given right to buy and sell at what ever price I want. With that being said , the Calguns “brotherhood” is populated with some more interested in themselves than the cause. Just a snap shot of society I guess. Nothing to see here really....time to move along.

.....I know its frowned upon when you try to help a calgunner not to get ripped off on purchasing a gun that cost 2x to 3x the MSRP based upon being off the roster in this form, but buyers should have an easier experience when purchasing used guns here.

The experience and education gained by making poor choices when buying and selling guns is worth every penny that is spent for it.

It is not your place shove your "help" between the ignorant and their badly needed education.

Unless perhaps a friend is asking for your help, your opinion or advice.

- Marketplace handgun: under $400
- Marketplace handgun: over $400

Dude, how many pistols do you see selling for less than $400? Sorry but that's a stupid way to divide the marketplace. Next thread you start would be whining about how 95% of the postings are in the <$400 forum because well that's how much 95% of new and used pistols are worth. On roster and off roster, OK that actually makes sense.

It's just data. If all the listings had to go through a form, all kinds of filters could be arranged. Hell, even the roster data can be fed into the form and a filter made for that. Lemon squeezy.

Additionally, we'd have historical data to more accurately compare prices and values.

Actually I think the person that doesn't get it is the one who started this thread in "general gun discussion" sub forum, instead of the "announcement and suggestion" sub forum.

You want to make a suggestion to change things? I'd think that would be the proper place to make that suggestion. Put your suggestion in a general discussion forum and people will discuss it, and you may not get the answer's or support you think you should. Nature of the beast, no need to get your shorts in a wad over it.

The title of the thread is - "FS" "With Extra" and you open the thread complaining about people listing extras for more money. That's why people are focusing on the whining about prices.

Then you add a suggestion to split the Handgun marketplace at some ridiculous price point. That's why people are making fun of you.

You know what really piss me off, when a seller posting in their title "with extra" giving everyone the impression that the holster and magazines will be for free before clicking on their threads.

Just to find out, not only that the gun is over price but you are force to buy their "extra". yep, one lump sum price.

CAN WE HAVE two MP FS rooms?
One for use guns under $400 (Example: Use Glocks for under$400)
And the other for ripoff prices? (Example: Gen 4/5 for $1000, python for $4000, 19x for $3000....ect)

Nobody’s ripping you off.....because you DO have the right to not buy it

Again, nobody owes you a deal. If you don’t like the price, move on and don’t buy it. Just. Walk. Away. You will be “ripoff-free”.

Either someone who wants it at that price buys it....unimpeded by deal shoppers.....or the seller lowers the price.

The idea of separate forums for “cheap gun deals” and “more expensive ripoff deals” is just stupid. Do your own homework.
