Try Security Safe, in Hayward. http://www.securitysafeusa.com/
ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Kind of a ways from you but really the best bang for the buck is probably these guys. https://www.sturdysafe.com/

Otherwise if you want a beautiful RSC (UL residential storage container) then Liberty is as good as any. Really nice stuff and kind of the standard of the industry I suppose.

I've got a Sturdy. Its massive. They are in Fresno, for less than $200.00 its in your garage, then the fun begins. If you call, you get a better deal than online.

Some of it depends on the role it's going to occupy in the OP's life and where it goes in the house etc... if he has a killer man-cave with beautiful decor, and wants the safe in there then Sturdy probably wouldn't be my first choice. I haven't seen any Study safes that are as beautiful as a top of the line Liberty or Browning for instance.

In other words, If the wife gets involved he's probably buying the Liberty. If it's all about true security then Sturdy is going to give you a better run for the money IMO.

              Pretty girl aside... this:

Whatever you get, get a dial combination. Recommended by an old safe guy to me and I've never regretted it.

Be sure to get it big enough! I have both a Liberty in my office plus a Sturdy in my shop for over flow.

While back, bought my Liberty Safe from the local Lowe's on sale. Great price at the time too.
