    Its really a hard choice
I appreciate the advice given. To answer one of the questions, I only owned a Ar15.
I think im leaning more towards the Ak47 just because its slightly cheaper and ammo will be as well...This is coming from someone that shoots every Tuesday lol so yeah
    Thanks everyone

Mags and ammo will indeed cost you far less. Steel case AK food will cost you about half the price of inexpensive 7.62 NATO surplus ammo, per round (.23-.27 per round compared to .40 to .50 per round). I wouldn’t mind grabbing a SAMSF to go with my SAM7R.

Shoots every Tuesday? Well here's an important one- where do you shoot? Do they allow steel case/magnetic ammo? AK brass is hard to find and expensive. Steel case with non magnetic projectile is available but some ranges are steel case nazis.

BLM or backyard shooting range? Disregard this comment.
          C&R nut.

I also own both. see a trend yet?

+1 for a scout squad, socom is mehh you need more muzzle energy.. idk scout squad with a mcmillan would be legit, yet to get the fiberglass stock for myself

            and pluss one for both.

mags are bout 50 bucks for the m1a

came across these, pretty cool. ****s on a springfield probably:

M14 Rifle Manufacturer specializing in custom built rifles. M14 / M1A parts and accessories. USA made, Genuine Hammer Forged receivers.

cant go wrong with either really

if i was smart, i would have done my research. I would have bought the lrb instead of the springfield

Get the M1A because it's a better rifle in every conceivable way in this or any other state.

Another one with both. I'd say it comes down to whether you want to shoot or you want to blast away. M1A is a great gun for serious shooting; the Arsenal is a great gun to play with and cheaper to shoot. You really can't go wrong with either. Personally if I could only have one it would be the M1A.

                          Its so hard to choose!!!!
But now im leaning more towards the M1a due to the accuracy, Cali Law (dont have to change anything), and it will match better with my TRP Operator lol
Yeah the mags and ammo are more expensive but i still have my AR15 to shoot to get some bench time.
The Arsenal is actually more expensive Triple A guns in Vallejo want $1599 and the M1A Socom is $1475

As for the legalities of the two, at this moment here in California, the M1A may have less restrictions, however my $$ says all that will change soon enough. I hope I'm wrong, but I have no faith in the courts.
I would still get the Arsenal; real world likelihood that either of those two would ever be used in a defensive/offensive engagement stateside, the ballistic advantage of the larger round is unlikely to matter.
