    Bout to engrave my lower....comments?

    What do you guys think?
    Go?
    No go?
    Recommendations?

Probably going to make the engraving "deeper" so I can "crayon fill" it later if I want to (no, I'm not going to multi-color it).

GO GO GO! Hopefully seeing you do this will give the rest of us the balls to try it ourselves. Are you just using a pen engraver or do you have a cnc?

Either way, do it do it do it.

Thinking of getting "Glock Holiday" to do it out in AZ.

It's not illegal to engrave my lower like this is it?

I am pretty sure as long as you don't cover/obscure the serial number you should be okay. What's the estimated cost to do something like that? DO you have to ship it to an ffl or anything since it is technically a rifle?

I think engraving like that would look really cool. Make sure to post pictures after you do it!
          Insert something clever here.

No serial numbers on the right side of the lower, just a blank face, so nothing to obscure.

Not sure about price or if Jason can even do that kind of design yet, I'll have to ask.

            He's a FFL so we're covered there.

Do it smaller.... and put California legal on it so LEO's who do NOT know the law and can at least read will know and say "HHmmm it say's it's California legal... no worries be on your way"

                Think about resale value.

I think if done right it would have a higher resale value... I would buy the "California Legal" on over a bare one... Buu daz juz me...

I kind of like that. After all, it wouldn't be engraved on the gun if it weren't true, right?

Of course, this also assumes that LEOs who don't know the law can read... I knew a few during my LE career that left me with doubts.

Heh....gonna pass on the "California Legal".
I know the law and I keep it legal, that's all that matters.
The rest can be sorted out by my lawyers.

Regarding resale value, when I buy nice toys, I plan to keep them.

                          Heh.....true that....especially in today's economy.

Which is why I'm gonna engrave it anyway.

Kinda force me to keep it no matter what since nobody will buy a screwed up receiver with the CA flag on it....:P
